After Oil 3: The Renewable Normal
A two-year project of the Petrocultures Research Group and TECS (Transition in Energy, Culture, and Society).
After Oil 3 investigated the uncertain space between the present and the future. It brought together critical theory and policy, drew lessons from present practices, and imagined modes and methods of transition in relation to the limits and possibilities of political configurations.
Rather than speculative projections or merely case studies, the project focused on the social transitions needed to shape energy transitions.
